Diva-licious!

My boss, (yes, boss!) is SUCH a diva. She loves "bling" and the color pink. When I found this diva kit, I couldn't help thinking of her. I remembered taking this quick snapshot at Halloween of her dressed like a Bratz doll.

"DIVA" Kit
By Daniela Peuss

I printed this layout and painted a frame black, then added pink sparkle seed beads all around it to give to her. I think she really liked it.

Big Bear

My son is always scrounging other folks discarded "toys". Just goes to show ya that one man's trash is another boy's treasure! He got this 4-wheeler from some guy who didn't want to bother fixing it to get it running again. He spent days and no telling how many dollars, getting it running. Now it's his pride and joy.

This is about my third or so completed digital layout. I use Microsoft Picture It! and it is sloooow and crashes often with this kind of work. Usually when I try to save and print too close together!!!
Anyway, this is a photo of my baby, can't believe he's 17! Hope he lives to see 18!!! Ok, I used a Boy Oh Boy freebie kit from somewhere, forgot to make a note of where I got if from, sorry. Can't give the proper credit to the artist either, since I didn't make a note of that either.
The inspiration for this lo, was a radio commercial about "Big Boys need Big Toys" and I've considered re-doing the title to reflect that.

Small Fry

I just loved these papers from Amy Tanabe, called Navy Fall. So I went searching through Picasa2 for a photo to go with them. And I loved the way she arranged them in the preview pic so much that I "scraplifted" her design too!

When I showed the finished layout to my son, his comment was...
"Couldn't you have picked a picture with bigger fish???"
So this will forever more be known as "Small Fry"

Another of dd

This was a fun layout to do, mostly because of the colors and that "rockin out" expression on dd's face. A. got a kid's quitar and was having a jam session with Daddy. He was trying to teach her a few chord's and such, but she just wanted to "jam".

The "sticker" in the upper left corner is actually a paper sticker, I just scanned it and used it like any other digital element. Used Angie Briggs' Tomboy Kit, brad from Birthdayz kit, gel alphas from Splendid Alphas. The "girls rock" is a sticker from Mrs. Elizibeth's "My favorite things".

Valentine's Day

This is a digital layout I completed of my daughter's valentines' day this year. The colors are definitely vibrant. (Actually much more vibrant that I'm used to, but I was feeling blah & fought it by doing such a "happy" layout. The colors just make me smile.

ok, let's see. I used a quick page and elements from the ShabbyPrincess.com. This came together amazingly fast! Once I noticed the circles in the background, it made me want to crop my photos in circles. It's been AGES since I've cropped a circular photo, but it seems to be coming back in style. I love the way it isolates and focuses in on the subject of the photo.

More digi-scrapping

This is a layout of my daughter. I have had this photo for years and it's one of my favorites. I kept it simple to emphasize the photo

I used a starfish image off the web and cut it out with Microsoft Picture It. The ribbon, photo corner, blue background paper and grunge overlay are all freebies I've collected. Sorry, can't give credit, don't know where they came from.

Digital Scrapping

I've decided to re-invent my blog. It's been ages since I've posted. I'm doing more digi-scrapping than ever, right now. So without further ado, I will be featuring my digital layouts. Oooh, that sounds serious! :)

The reason I've been doing more digi scrapping, is LESS MESS!!! There's just no clean up involved, and I'm plain lazy. I've been gathering freebies off the web and even bought a few kits. So now I must do something with them.

This is my layout of the day. Just started and finished it this morning.

I used a freebie kit from Digiscrapz called "gotta be me". The colors are not really me, but I fell in love with the kit.
