This is a little mini album I did on a page with way too many photos. The proofs weren't all that great and I didn't want to use them all on the page, so I just folded cardstock and made an accordian type album. It was easier than I expected, and something I will do again and again. The only drawback to this, I had to cut a slit in my page protector. I got it in the right place the first time, but I really didn't enjoy doing it that way. It just seemed wrong, cutting into the very thing used to protect my pages. I know, I know, I need to relax.

Batting Practice...
How to hit a softball:
1. Watch what the other girls are doing.
2. Hold the bat up.
3. Swing level.
4. Close your eyes and pray!

Commitment to the Game
This is the 2nd page I've done for Abby's softball album. Scroll down for the cover and 1st page. My first real bottle cap! I'm not sure how I like it. Love the clear definition stickers! I put this one on white because I thought it would show up better than on the busy baseball paper. Abby showed up for every practice and every game. (except the one I MADE her miss - long story there) thus the title: Commitment (is it a title if it's not big and at the top of the page? Hmm, I think so, why not?

Abby's Team Page
Look, I've actually done some scraping! I had a fun with this and it was so easy with my Creative Clips & Fonts from CK. Please excuse the awful scan. I'd give just about anything for a 12" printer/scanner. The baseball paper is not yellowy irl. and that little chunk missing on the lower right corner is from the scanner too. But my new printer does print great photos and embellishments.

My first scrapbook page in weeks...
I've been doing so many altered things, paint cans, clipboards, etc. that I haven't scrapped in ages. My new scrappin' buddy inspired me tonight. She did 6 pages, so I was determined to stay off the mb until I finished one page. Here it is... Abby in her Granny's garden last summer (2004). These photos are gorgeous irl, the scan doesn't begin to do them justice. I searched for a quote about a rose = beauty, until I found this one: " A lovely being, scarcely formed or molded, a rose with all it's sweetest leaves yet folded." by Lord Byron. Journaling reads: "things I love about you...
* your smile
* your laugh
* your beauty
I didn't title it, because well, there was no room left. The spiral clip holding the quote is actually pink irl, don't know why that doesn't show. The pink barette under the photo matted in green, was one of Abby's that I had "saved" since she was a baby. I just thought it went perfectly with this page. Ok, done rambling, here it is...

My dd's first scrapbook page
She's 8 years old. She INKED THE EDGES OF HER STUFF! This child amazes me. Her first page ever and she's inking the edges! She's like those little kids who don't speak until "late" and then they speak in a complete sentence. I can't wait to scrap her scrapping! :0)
Oh, my dd on left, her best friend on right.
My new Scrappin' Buddy and her scrapbook stuff
This is my dd (age 8). She decided today that she wants to do a scrapbook of her and her friends. Here are pics of her stuff and her. I will post pics of her pages, as she finishes them. I am so proud to have found a scrappin' buddy who lives so close! (In the same house!) :0)

My VERY first Paper Bag Album
This is my first and probably won't be my last! It was so much fun and came together much more quickly than I had anticipated. I used Mambi school stick kids as accents and assorted school papers and ribbons. I hope to sell this on Ebay, if I can ever figure out how. Be sure and notice the faux "stitching". I don't sew, won't sew, but like the look so I figured out a way to fake it. This was made with regular size lunch bags, that I had bought many years ago in the party section, thus the school bus yellow color of the bags.
PLEASE TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK OF IT...

Altered Clipboards with Scrapbook Paper & Ribbons
Thought I needed to update some... It's been a while. My latest craze is these altered clipboards. Some don't have the ribbon or tags added yet, but I was afraid I would forget to take a picture.

My New Storage for Scrapbooking
I bought these 12x12 Sterlite 3 drawer storage containers at Wal-Mart for under $10 each. I think I can use about two more. I used the Avery wizard in Microsoft word to make sticky labels and then added a sticker to go with each theme.
The drawers each hold themed papers, stickers, die-cuts, and other themed embellishments, as well as ideas, & even idea books that I'm using with a theme. When I am ready to work on a layout, I can remove the drawer and have everything at hand. I had been having sticker storage & organization issues, because I realized alot of my stickers are 12 inches. Now I can keep everything together and not "forget" to use something, because it is stored somewhere else.
